Information on the school shooting in Örebro

Eleven people have died after a shooting at the Campus Risbergska school in Örebro. It is currently unclear how many people have been injured. Police believe that the perpetrator acted alone and is one of the deceased. Crisis support centres have been set up in several locations.

The police believe that the offender is dead and acted alone. However, it is not possible at this stage to rule out other perpetrators linked to the incident. Police work at the scene of the crime continues and during Tuesday afternoon, several investigative measures have been carried out at various addresses in Örebro.

The Police: Do not spread rumours

Untrue information is being spread on social media. At present, there is nothing to suggest that the perpetrator acted with ideological motives. Remember not to speculate or spread rumours. This can create distrust and anxiety and make police work more difficult.
