Feelings of anxiety
Everyone reacts differently in troubled times. If you feel anxious, depressed or have trouble sleeping, here are some things you can do to manage your anxiety or stress yourself:
- Maintain daily routines to the greatest extent possible.
- Keep active with activities that make you feel good.
- If you feel that news reports are making you feel anxious or unwell, try limiting your news consumption.
Talk about feelings of anxiety
It's good to put your concerns into words. Talk to someone you trust and tell them how you feel. If you'd prefer speaking to a professional, numerous organisations offer support by phone, chat or email.
The Red Cross
At the website of the Red Cross, learn how to protect yourself from threatening feelings of fear.
The Church of Sweden
You can contact on-duty priests via the Church of Sweden's chat service or by sending an e-mail to the Church of Sweden. On-duty priests can also be reached by dialling 112.

You can call the organisation Jourhavande medmänniska 08-702 16 80 nightly between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Non-profit organisation Mind – for mental health
Mind offers several telephone hotlines and chats for those who need to speak with someone
- Suicide helpline. At the suicide helpline, you can speak with someone if you or a person close to you experiences suicidal thoughts. The suicide helpline can be reached by dialling 90101 or at the suicide helpline chat.
- Elderly helpline. Those 65 and over in need of support can call the elderly helpline at 020-22 22 33, weekdays 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. or weekends 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Parent helpline. If you are worried about your child or a child in your vicinity, call parent helpline at 020-85 20 00, weekdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Thursdays 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
