Swedish ministry for foreign affairs on the plane crash in Iran
A passenger aircraft from Ukraine International Airlines has crashed in Iran on 8 January. The Swedish Embassy in Iran is seeking more information about the event. On the morning of 8 January, a passenger plane from Ukraine International Airlines crashed shortly after leaving Tehran's Imam Khomeini Airport. The plane was bound for the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.
There are reports that there were Swedes on board the crashed plane. The Swedish Embassy in Teheran, the Iranian capital, is working to obtain further information.
