Covid-19 came to Sweden from several countries
The Public Health Agency of Sweden has mapped and compared the genome of the corona virus in returning travellers. One of the conclusions is that covid-19 most likely came to Sweden on a number of occasions and from different countries

In addition to the already known import of cases from Italy and Austria, the analysis shows that the infection came into Sweden from the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands and the United States. The Public Health Agency's conclusion after comparing the genome of the virus is that the protective measures against infection in the regions to a large extent prevented the infection from Italy to gain a foothold in Sweden.
