The Government: Upper secondary schools can reopen

Upper secondary school students can return to school premises in the summer and autumn. The change applies from 15 June.

The Public Health Agency of Sweden is easing its previous recommendation and removing the requirement for distance education. Therefore from 15 June, normal activities can resume in upper secondary schools. The information applies until further notice.

Upper secondary school students who need to attend summer school can, accordingly, study on-site in school during the summer.

In the case of adult education in municipal adult education centres, vocational colleges, universities and higher education institutions, continuing education may need to be delivered partly through distance learning to reduce the spread of infection.

If the number of new infections increases again, the Government is prepared to return to distance education.
