The 50-person limit will be standard, but on Thursday the government will decide on exceptions for events at dining locations not covered by the 50-person limit.
The government is also planning for more exceptions, including for cultural and sporting events with seated audiences. The Public Health Agency is reviewing whether more exceptions will be possible in future.
The government will develop a temporary regulatory framework more suitable than the Public Order Act. The goal is for activities not currently covered to be regulated in the same way.
