According to the Public Health Agency, people with a severely compromised immune system often have a weaker antibody response to two doses of vaccine than do those who are completely healthy. Therefore, they could have better protection against COVID-19 with an extra dose of vaccine.
The recommendation applies to people over 18 years of age.
