Vaccination against Covid-19 for individuals aged 16 and over
Adolescents aged 16 and 17 will now be offered vaccination against Covid-19 in Sweden according to the Public Health Agency of Sweden. The objective is primarily to protect adolescents against the disease, and to further reduce the spread of infection in the community.

The vaccinations will be started when 18-year olds and over have been offered vaccination in phase 4. Start date is expected to be sometime in August.
The Public Health Agency also recommends extending the vaccination program from now to children with certain medical conditions from the age of 12, according to a list compiled by the Swedish Paediatric Society.
