Everyone under the age of 30 should continue to receive the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine
People born in 1991 or later are still recommended to receive Pfizer/BioNTech’s vaccine, Comirnaty. This also applies to those who have received Moderna’s Spikevax vaccine as their first dose.

On 6 October, the Public Health Agency of Sweden decided to suspend the use of Moderna’s Spikevax vaccine among people born in 1991 or later due to signals of increased risk of inflammation of the heart muscle or the sac surrounding the heart (myocarditis or pericarditis respectively).
Now the Public Health Agency of Sweden has decided to extend this recommendation. Anyone who has received a first dose of Spikevax is recommended to receive Comirnaty as a second dose.
“Now everyone under 30 waiting for their second dose can receive it,” says Anders Tegnell, Head of Department and State Epidemiologist at the Public Health Agency of Sweden.
