Important public announcement for Skelleftehamn and Örviken in Skellefteå Municipality, Västerbotten County. There is a fire in an industrial area causing thick smoke. Orange warning for wind in parts of the west coast

SMHI has issued a orange warning for wind in western Scania, southwestern Kronoberg, Western Halland and up to southwestern Bohuslän.

During Friday evening and the night to Saturday very windy with westerly storm winds, which can lead to falling trees and risk of damage to property. The warning applies from 17 February at 20:00 – 18 February at 04:00.

How can this affect me?

  • High risk for road blockages due to fallen trees.
  • Delays in bus-, train-, air- and ferry traffic as well as canceled departures.
  • Likely power outage in areas with overground power lines, which also affects mobile networks for telecommunications.
