🔺 SMHI has issued a red warning for high water discharge for the coastal area of Gävleborg ond southern Västernorrland county. Snowmelt and heavy rainfall in combination with high soil water content causes high discharge in streams and small rivers.

Update November 3, 12.45: A red warning for high flows is issued in the coastal area of Gävleborg and southern Västernorrland County. The red warning for high flows in central Värmland County no longer applies.
Original text from November 1: SMHI has issued a red warning for high water discharge for central parts of Värmland county and the the coastal area of Gävleborg county. Snowmelt and heavy rainfall in combination with high soil water content causes high discharge in streams and small rivers.
The warning applies from 4 November at 00:00 and until further notice.
How can this affect me?
- Extremly fast flowing water in rivers and smaller watercourses.
- Flows that occur every 50th year on average, or less.
- Risk of flooded areas adjacent to watercourses and lakes and in low-lying areas.
