Orange weather warning - Wind and snow in the alpine region

Update, 3 February, 10.55: A weather warning is in effect because of wind and snow in the Härjedal, Jämtland and southern Lapland mountains for Saturday, The public is advised not to hike in the area during this period. 

Original message: In the Härjedal, Jämtland and southern Lapland mountains , late Friday evening until Saturday afternoon, it will be windy on bare mountains, while snow showers are brought in. You are advised not to hike in the area during this period.

How can this affect me?

• No hiking is recommended in mountainous areas.
• Rescue efforts in mountain environment can be risky and may take a long time.
• Very difficult to move and set up or anchor tents.
• Very difficult to orientate due to severely reduced visibility.
• High risk of frostbite.
